Merle’s Door

I have just finished reading the wonderful “Merle’s Door. Lessons from a freethinking dog” by Ted Kerasote. Merle was a young labx fending for himself in the desert when he and Ted met. Merle’s door tells of their subsequent life together in rural Wyoming. It is an amazing story, beautifully told. If you love dogs then you’ll love this book.

Here is a slide show of Merle’s life

And here is an essay by Ted outlining the lessons he learnt from Merle.
