Primal Anne’s Log Earth Date 2/7/2012

Food:

Breakfast: steak, egg, tomato, blueberries and yogurt

Lunch: cold roast pork, cauliflower, broccoli, carrot

Supper: bacon & avocado salad

Snacks: greek yogurt & manuka honey, dark chocolate

Beverages: lemon juice in whey with pinch of bicarb (1), black tea & milk (several), coffee with cream (1), water (2)

In the kitchen:

    • Air-drying: leg of pork (making air-dried ham)
    • Curing: belly pork (making bacon)
    • Fermenting: sauerkraut, yogurt

Exercise:

Yoga

100-up:

  • 30-up single leg preparatory exercise
  • 100-up minor

Sleep/Rest:  7 hours

Play: couple of minutes rebounding

Sunlight: No. It’s raining again! It has been the wettest April – June since records began and England and Wales had more than double the average rainfall for June. Apparently the Jet stream is out of it’s usual place – it’s too far south – and we’re not likely to see any improvement for some weeks. Not until the Azores High starts to move northwards later in the summer and pushes the Jet Stream out of the way.

Still as they say “It’s an ill wind…” and, with the windows open, the room in which my ham is drying stayed at a temperature of around 18C all day!
