Primal Anne’s Log Earth Date 02/7/2012

Food:

Breakfast: steak, egg, tomato, strawberries

Lunch: pork rillettes and salad

Supper: roast pork, cauliflower, broccoli and courgette

Snacks: beef jerky, small piece dark chocolate

Beverages: lemon juice with pinch bicarb in whey (1), black tea & milk (several), coffee with cream (1), water (3), red wine (1)

In the kitchen:

    • Air-drying: leg of pork (making air-dried ham)
    • Curing: belly pork (makin’ bacon)
    • Fermenting: sauerkraut, lemonade, yogurt

In the garden:

    • Picking: courgette

Exercise:

Move around a lot at a slow pace: Yes

Yoga

Lift heavy things: watering pots by hand

100-up:

  • 30-up single leg preparatory exercise
  • 100-up minor

Sleep/Rest:  7 hours

Use your mind:

    • Blogged
    • Read (reading ‘Labrador Retriever’ by E. Verhoef-Verhallen)
    • Finding out how to keep a room cool (while my ham is air-drying). Here’s what I learnt:
      • keep windows and shutters/blinds/curtains closed on the side of the house in sun
      • open the windows on the side of the house in shade
      • position the fan in front of an open window pointing into the room to draw cooler air in
      • as the sun moves around the house open and close the windows appropriately
