Primal Anne’s Log Earth Date 28/6/2012


Breakfast: 2 x baked egg with prosciutto and parmesan cheese

Lunch: venison, sauerkraut, mashed squash, asparagus

Supper: steak, mushrooms, tomato

Snacks: beef jerky, baked apricots with raspberries and yogurt, dark chocolate

Beverages: lemon juice in water (1), black tea & milk (several), coffee with cream (1), water (4), red wine (1 1/2)

Hunter/gathering: Belly pork to make bacon and pork rillettes, rack of ribs (removed from belly pork), rump steak, pork leg joint from Reynolds’ van.

Unpasturised, unhomegenised milk delivered. I used 4 pints to make yogurt.

In the kitchen:

    • Curing: leg of pork (making air-dried ham)
    • Fermenting: sauerkraut
    • Dehydrating: yogurt


Move around a lot at a slow pace: Yes. Including walking into town and back, and to Park Gates and back


Lift heavy things: Watering pots by hand

Sleep/Rest:  7 hours


Sunlight: Glimpses

Avoid trauma: Yes

Avoid Poisons: Yes

Use your mind:

    • Blogged
    • Read
    • First attempt at making yogurt in the dehydrator
    • Another yoga class for the service users at Richmond Fellowship in Poole
