Breakfast: 2x baked eggs with prawns, raspberries
Lunch: chili beef
Supper: prosciutto wrapped salmon, asparagus
Snacks: beef jerky, dark chocolate, macadamia nuts
Beverages: lemon juice in water (1), black tea & milk (several), coffee with cream (1), water (3)
Hunter/Gathering: From Raynolds van I bought
- a piece of rump steak for beef jerky (>2lb for £7). The steak slices that I have been using for jerky result in quite thin strips. (Mum refuses to try it saying they looks like stick insects!) While the jerky tastes great most recipes say to cut the steak into strips 1″ wide and 1/4″ thick (never had the ‘real thing’ so I don’t know any different!). Anyway I thought I’d get a thicker piece of steak piece to try this time.
- ~2lb piece belly pork after bones removed to make pork rillettes. Ribs will be cooked for a snack. Cost £6
- 2 x pork fillets for £8
In the kitchen:
- Curing: leg of pork (making air-dried ham)
- Fermenting: sauerkraut
Move around a lot at a slow pace: walked into town and back, walked Shore Road to Branksome Chine along prom, Walked Branksome Chine to Bournemouth Pier and back with a couple of friends.
Sleep/Rest: 6 hours
Play: practised juggling with 2 balls
Sunlight: Some weak sunshine
Avoid trauma: yes
Avoid Poisons: yes
Use your mind:
Primal Challenge (avoid using p.c. after 7pm): No. Very full day and didn’t get home until late because chain ferry broke down and bus was delayed.
Anne’s Primal Challenge (100-up): No
Supplemental: News Flash! Primal Anne refuses Purbeck Chocolate Ice cream. As we walked along the prom one of my friends suggested an ice cream. I thought that she was joking – it was raining and blowing a gale. She wasn’t. I decided that I could have one (chocolate of course) as a concession but I didn’t really want one… so I didn’t and it was easy.
